Dames at Sea:

RUBY: 18-23, innocent, perky, naive, easily heartbroken, must tap, mezzo soprano.  Union/Non-Union.

bad luck with shows, but she is always optimistic, must tap, alto.  Non-Union.

MONA: 32-45, the diva, the star and demands to be treated as such, she slowly realizes that her “type” is shifting and perhaps her time has come, tap a plus, alto. Union/Non-Union.

HENNESSEY/THE CAPTAIN  (these roles will be double-cast) 30-50: overworked, always stressed producer/director of "Dames at Sea," the show within the show, non-singing, non-dancing;  Captain:  captain of Dick and Lucky's ship, an old flame of Mona's, a mama's boy, tap a plus, tenor.  Non-Union.
