Summer season number 74 is beginning to boil at Highlands Playhouse!  Many thanks for the incredible audience support of last season.  We had the pleasure of welcoming so many of our loyal donors, patrons, and theatre-goers, as well as a generous mix of new-comers to Highlands Playhouse.  2011 was indeed a landmark season at the Playhouse, and we have plans for an even more exciting season in 2012 in which we will be featuring even more talent from Los Angeles, New York, and other major Industry markets.  My vision for the future of the Playhouse is going strong.  That is, to craft high-quality productions of time-tested shows for the Highlands audiences, and to bring newer works and very talented performers who are new to the Highlands stage and who I know will become instant audience favorites.  Last season marked the first appearances in Highlands for film and television actor Frank Collison, the lovely and charming Rachel Schimenti, the fantastically funny Molly Wise, and the very engaging Steve Scionti among many, many others.  For 2012 we are most pleased to announce return of another new Highlands favorite Libby Whittemire, the introduction of E.R.’s Ellen Crawford, Broadway and National Tour veteran Melinda Gilb, and former Mousketeer Lindsay Alley, and the choreography of former Radio City Music Hall Rockette Karyn Tomczak, along with many other performers of immense talent.  Again, on behalf of myself and the Board of Directors, we thank you for your continuing support, and here’s to another great summer of uplifting and exhilarating theatre in Season 74 at Highlands Playhouse!
