Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the cost of tickets?
A: Film - $12.00, Live Show - $45.00, Special Events are priced differently. Prices quoted not include taxes or applicable processing fees.

Q: I purchased tickets, but cannot make the show.  Can I get my money back?

A: All sales are final.  If you need to cancel your plans, we can offer you the ability to trade your live theatre tickets for another day/time for the same show or a gift certificate [minus a $5 fee per ticket].  Movie tickets are not eligible for gift certificates, but may be redeemed a different date or time for the same movie title.  They may not be redeemed for any other movie title.  Please come see us at the box office before your show has started; the $1.00 on-line processing fee is non-refundable regardless of other arrangements made.

Q: Why don't you put dates on all of your coming attractions?

A:  We would if we could!  It would be so nice to plan.  But small, independent theaters can't always play films on their release dates. It is RARE for us to know the exact dates we can play most films.  Usually we find out on Monday what we will be playing on Friday. We post our schedule as soon as possible so check back with us often or sign up to below to have show times delivered to you via email.

Q: Can I eat in the theater?
A: Yes, we serve snacks. You can drink there, too.  We have wine!  But be sure to read the answer to the next question...

Q: Can I bring my own food and drinks?

A:

Q: What time should I arrive?
A: We recommend arriving 20-30 minutes before show time if you plan to get snacks.  We begin selling tickets and seating for a show 40 minutes prior to show time.

Q: Do I need reservations or can I just show up?
A: You don't need reservations, but we recommend them on an opening weekend, around holidays, and for popular movies since some shows sell out.  If you want to be sure to get a seat, purchasing your tickets online is a good move.  You can always call us as well.

Q: What do I do if I keep getting sent to voicemail?
A: If you call during non-business hours, or while we are serving other clients, please leave us a message and we will return your call promptly. If you are calling to book tickets, we recommend utilizing our convenient online ticketing system.

Q: How much does it cost for a private party or meeting?
A: We have great rates for luncheons, parties, private events, and meetings. Send us an email at boxoffice@highlandsplayhouse.org or call us for more information at 828-526-2695.

Q: My friend gets great response from advertising at the cinema. How can I put my business on the big screen?
A: With our attendance now over 10,000 people per year, you should consider taking advantage of the captive audience since many arrive about a half hour prior to the shows. Send us an email to boxoffice@highlandsplayhouse.org and we'll be happy to send you all the information.
